MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) – Russia’s economy needs affordable rates and the central bank will take it into account at the next key rate meeting, Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina said on Tuesday.
"We will hold our next meeting in a week, we shall see how the situation develops, but we understand that the rates should be affordable, including to lend the economy," Nabiullina said.
The next meeting of the board of directors of the central bank is scheduled for April 29. The central bank cut the key rate to 17% from 20% on April 8.
